I only live a few miles from Arundel and yet it is so easy to completely take its beauty for granted. I’ll always remember when friends visited from Australia, one of them had never seen anything like it - a beautiful castle and quaint buildings rising up out of the English countryside and they were blown away.
When Rio and Connor were considering options for their couple shoot, Arundel seemed like a natural choice. The only problem we had was the weather 😂 I don’t mind a bit of rain but we had accidentally organised the shoot in the middle of a week of constant torrential downpour. Thankfully Arundel looks beautiful no matter the weather :) I especially think the stone wall surrounding Arundel Castle looked particularly beautiful in the rain and the wall somehow managed to look even more imposing than normal!
I had such a blast with these guys but I knew it was going to be a pretty awesome shoot when Rio and I both turned up wearing the same mustard coloured scarf 💛 we went for a lovely cup of tea in a cute tearoom followed by a walk around the city.
I love going for long walks with my couples as we tend to have a chat about life and their wedding and start to feel like friends. It’s so important that couples trust and like their photographer! I really do think that couple shoots are a fantastic way for us to get to know each other and you’ll soon realise that having your photograph taken isn’t so bad after all! 😉
It was so lovely to turn up at Rio and Connor’s wedding several months ago to see some of these images displayed for all the guests to see :) it means the world to me when couples love their photos!
